The BM Fix ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written with Quebec's Law 25 and Canada's PIPEDA in mind, but you should have it reviewed for your specific situation.

What we collect

• Information you choose to give us, for example, an email address if you opt into tips. The interactive tools store your answers only in your own browser (localStorage); we do not receive them.
• Analytics data, if you consent, Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device type) to help us improve the Site.
• Anonymous visit and performance counts, our hosting provider's cookieless tools (Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights) count page visits and measure loading speed without cookies or personal identifiers, so they run without a consent prompt.
• Advertising / measurement data, if you consent, tools such as the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Google AdSense may set cookies to measure and personalize advertising.
• Server logs, our hosting provider may record standard technical data (such as IP address) for security and reliability.

Consent comes first

By default, no analytics or advertising cookies are set. They load only after you accept them in our consent banner. You can change or withdraw your choice anytime via "Cookie settings" in the footer. See the Cookie Policy for details.

Why we use your information

• To operate, secure, and improve the Site
• To understand which content is helpful (with consent)
• To measure and, in future, show advertising (with consent)

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that make the Site work (for example, our host, analytics, email, and advertising partners), and only as needed. These providers may process data outside Quebec/Canada; where that happens we rely on the providers' safeguards.

Advertising and third-party cookies

We are not showing ads today. The ad slots stay switched off, and nothing described below happens unless you accept marketing cookies. It is set out here in advance so the terms are clear before anything changes.

• Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You may also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it.

Children

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
